7:00 - 8:00 Lesson — The Big Apple Part 1
8:00 - 10:00 Practicum & Social Dance

>> The Big Apple <<

The Big Apple is a high-energy swing routine taken from the 1939 movie “Keep Punching” and inspired by a tradition of called circle dances also called the Big Apple. The routine is often considered trickier than many of our favorite line dances because it's longer and faster with less repetition— BUT it is also extremely fun!

We will covered The Big Apple Part 2 in January. Part 1 will take us through the circle section until the line forms after the London Bridge. We’ll take all four weeks to learn the choreography and work it up to full speed.

Join the legions of dancers who know the first half of the Big Apple, and are still working on the second half! 2 9 16 23

2/2 HYPE TRAIN — dada, dadada, dadum!
2/9 Running around in a circle
2/16 Why is there a pony?
2/23 London bridge — are you falling down?

>> What's a practicum and social dance?
We DJ music just like a regular social dance. You can come out and just dance like normal, or you can come planning to work on something: Ask for feedback, work on a move, play with variations, master a routine.

>> Have a specific question?
Experienced dancers and local teachers are available at practicum to help out with sticky spots.

>> Balboa? Shag? Solo? Learning swingouts?
Let the DJ know what you're working on if you have specific music requests!

This building is physically accessible to enter. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact PLS.
